Free Fire is going to commence an esports event in the upcoming Esports World Cup (EWC) 2025. As the year is going great for the game, the calendar shows that there’s a big event in July to be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Scheduled to kick off on the 16th of July, 2025, the tournament will run for about a week and crown the champion at the end. There will be a total of 16 teams, qualified through several regional and country championship events.
Free Fire Esports World Cup (EWC) 2025: Schedule and Format
As mentioned earlier, the event will kick off on the 16th of July, 2025. It will run till the 20th of July 2025. There are three stages in the event, namely the Knockout Stage, Point Rush, and Grand Finals. In the first stage, 18 teams will be divided into 3 groups of 6 teams each.
There will be 18 matches, and each group will play a total of 12 matches. The top 12 teams will qualify for the Grand Finals. The Point Rush Stage is about gathering headstart points for the Grand Finals. The participants will play 6 matches to gain the headstart points. As the Grand Finals begin on the 20th of July, the teams will play a total of 6 matches to determine the champion.
Participating Team
As said before, 18 teams will participate in the event. However, the grand finals will only feature 12 teams. The teams are chosen from regional grand events such as FFWS SEA Spring 2025, Esports World Cup 2024, FFWS Brazil 2025 S2, Mid Season Clash 2025, Pakistan Qualifier, FFBC 2025, and FFWS LATAM 2025.

Prize Pool
The prize pool is huge, set at a million dollars for the participants. However, the distribution for each team has not been revealed so far. We will update the article with the exact breakdown of the prize pool once we know the details.
