- FC Bayern’s license with KONAMI ending will be removing official club elements from eFootball.
- Allianz Arena will no longer be a playable stadium since the update.
- Borussia Dortmund is rumored to join as potential license replacement.
A big change is coming to KONAMI’s eFootball franchise as FC Bayern München, the current Bundesliga winners, will end its official license deal with the game on June 30, 2025. This means some familiar parts of the club will no longer be in the football title.
Owned Bayern players and most assets will remain usable in Dream Team
Following the changes on the mentioned date, the club name, emblem, and kits will be swapped out for original eFootball designs. Even the Allianz Arena will be removed as a selectable stadium after the update on June 26, 2025.

If you already have FC Bayern stars in your Dream Team, you can still keep using them, including their names and images. However, a few standard player versions might not stay. Other assets like badges, avatars, and already owned kits won’t be changed.
The game also added that this is part of the regular license cycle, and more announcements will be shared in late July. FC Bayern had been a platinum partner with KONAMI since 2019 and was featured heavily in eFootball. The exit of their stadium is a noticeable one, but it might not be all bad news.
In what seems like a possible trade-off, there are multiple reports that Borussia Dortmund might be joining eFootball next. If true, we could soon get access to Signal Iduna Park, one of Germany’s most iconic stadiums.

KONAMI hasn’t confirmed this officially yet, but such a move would certainly help. For now, fans of eFootball will have to wait for the July announcement to know more about upcoming clubs and stadiums. Until then, it’s time to enjoy your final matches at Allianz Arena while you can.
