Devolver Digital has announced the launch of its hit bullet hell dungeon crawler, Enter the Gungeon, and its arcade spin-off, Exit the Gungeon, on both Android and iOS this summer, priced at $8.99 and $4.99, respectively. The spin-off title is returning to mobile after its initial launch on Apple Arcade.
Face bullet storms and Gundead enemies in Enter the Gungeon
Enter the Gungeon, developed by Dodge Roll, is a fan-favorite title in the roguelike shooter genre. In this title, you play as one of several Gungeoneers, to shoot, loot, and dodge your way to the ultimate treasure, a gun that can erase the past. It’s been praised by critics as one of the best in its genre.
I tried this title a few weeks ago with my friend on his PS4, and it’s not coming to mobile, to my surprise. You can look forward to a mix of Gundead beasts, massive bosses, bullet storms, and lots of treasures. And I must say, this game is not easy at all, but it’s equally fun.
Climb, blast, and escape as Exit the Gungeon joins the action
What’s even better is, Exit the Gungeon, the fast-paced, 2D bullet hell platformer spin-off that follows the same characters, is joining the launch. In this title, you battle your way upward through collapsing elevators using an ever-changing weapon while battling the Gundead enemies.
This mobile version of Enter the Gungeon has been revamped for touch controls, and offers online co-op multiplayer, and even includes a new playable character, The Lamb from Cult of the Lamb, with abilities inspired by that hit cult sim. I’m looking forward to trying both titles when they release this summer.
