PUBG Mobile x Transformers collab brings new themed events and game modes, starting July 8

Now, it has become a kind of ritual for PUBG Mobile or BGMI to have a collaboration with a popular IP in its every version update. This time, it is still the same as PUBG Mobile is going to collaborate with the famous movie series The Transformers. It is a series of science fiction action films based on the famous Transformers franchise.

In the 3.9 version update of PUBG Mobile, the Autobots will make their way through the various terrains of Erangel as we will see famous characters from the movie series in the world of PUBG Mobile. From the main protagonist like the Optimus Prime to the cunning villain like Megatron, we are set to witness some high-class Cybertron action.

PUBG Mobile x Transformers Collaboration: New theme mode and events

The new themed mode will arrive in-game along with the 3.9 version update on 8th July, 2025. We will see various futuristic dystopian architectures. The main location’s name is Neon Town. The main location of the themed mode got inspiration from the fictional Cybertron planet, the home of the Transformers. We will see many Transformers-themed items in this mode.

To summon the mighty robots, you will have to find the Spacebridge Beacon. After starting a match, you will have to wait for some time to use the gadget. After a certain period, you will see a notification that says “Connection to Cybertron established“. Then, you can use the beacon to summon random Transformers robots.

These robots will work the same as they were shown in the movie. Optimus Prime can change itself into a Blue and Red colored truck, which you can drive. Another character, Megatron, can transform itself into a modern tank. You can use their special abilities, such as the Axe Slash and the Burst Barrage.

All the popular Autobots are coming to the battlegrounds

As of now, it is pretty much clear which characters are coming to PUBG Mobile as a part of the collaboration with the Transformers. The crossover is not a G1-style arrival, but also includes modern cinematic versions such as the Rise of the Beasts. In this section, we will make a list of them.

• Optimus Prime – The iconic leader of the Autobots.
• Megatron – The leader of the Decepticons.
• Bumblebee – Another popular character of the series.
• Starscream – A part of the Deception crew.
• Soundwave – Another famous character.
• Arcee – A red and White colored female Autobot.
• Optimus Primal – Leader of the Beast faction.

Apart from these characters, we will also see many Transformers-related items like outfits, weapon finishes, vehicle skins, crates, exclusive lucky spins, and special prize paths. We have already seen such prize paths in the Attack on Titan (AoT) and the Godzilla collaborations.

Final Thoughts

For me, it feels really great to see that famous and mainstream entertainment alternatives such as Anime and movies are collaborating with a mobile. PUBG Mobile itself, being a big brand, will get massive benefits as many ardent Transformers fans will surely want to play the game to operate their favorite Autobots or Decepticons. Which will be beneficial for both parties in the end.

However, previously, we have seen that many players didn’t like the concept of a giant thing roaming on the map and overpowering them. They also expressed their dissatisfaction on the internet about the abilities of the Titans in the 3.8 version update, and the developers nerfed it. Only time will tell if we will again see the same thing.
