Netflix Games is once again removing a significant chunk of its mobile gaming library, which now looks like a trend. After recently cancelling the release of six planned titles, the platform is now set to remove more than 20 existing titles in July 2025, including titles like Hades, Monument Valley series, and more.
Netflix Games shows signs of trouble as internal shifts lead to mass removals
Something feels off about Netflix’s game division, looking at their recent actions over the past year. While we thought it was just one strategic shift, which led to the cancellation of Don’t Starve Together, and others, it doesn’t seem like the case with internal changes and repeated waves of game removal.
The sad part is that dozens of titles are set to be removed on July 15. Among the notable exits are newer releases like Monument Valley 3 from December 2024 and Carmen Sandiego in January 2025. You can check if your favorite titles are affected by looking for the Leaving Soon badge on the games.

In total, 22 games are going away from the platform, which represents nearly 20% of Netflix Games’ current catalogue of mobile titles. The lineup of removal also includes favorites like Hades, Monument Valley series, and Raji: An Ancient Epic. They have also removed Devolver Digital’s Poinpy this month.

That said, most of the titles leaving are either licensed titles or third-party IPs, which seems like Netflix no longer controls. While they’ll continue to release more mobile titles, rumors suggest that they’ll slow down this process. They’ll focus more on bigger-screen games, with well-curated releases.
While it’s sad that so many titles are being removed, you can still look forward to upcoming releases, including WWE 2K, Spirit Crossing, and Netflix Puzzled, which is currently in testing. That said, we can expect removed titles to release on other platforms, with titles like Monument Valley 3 already confirmed.
