The Gentlebros. has announced their open-world action RPG, Cat Quest III, is scheduled to launch on iPhone, iPad and Mac on August 8, 2025. This third installment of the award-winning Cat Quest series, originally launched last year on PC and consoles.
Get ready for a pirate-filled adventure and co-op fun with Cat Quest III
Cat Quest III is an adorable 2.5D open-world RPG with hack-and-slash combat and both single and co-op adventures. Set in the whimsical pirate-themed Purribean, you play as a brave purrivateer exploring both lands and sea with your loyal spirit companion, all while Pi-rats search for the Northern Star.
As a cat lover and having tried the series before, I’m really excited to try this out. Although an Android release would’ve been great, but I’m still eager to set sail and battle in my own ship, explore various dungeons, and discover treasures containing spells, weapons, costumes, and more.
You can battle various bosses and assist other quirky characters in their quests
While the idea of beating over 50 bosses looks fun, with the newly refined combat system, I’m especially intrigued to meet the quirky characters and assist in their quests. Moreover, you can enjoy being a detective, gathering clues, and uncovering the mysteries of the Purribean at your own pace.
All in all, this third entry looks promising and packed with content, including over 100 quests, dungeons, and side activities, a new Game+ mode, challenge mode, stunning visuals, biomes, over 100 equipment to collect, and even an Infinite mode, for endless fun.
Cat Quest III is set to launch on iPhone, iPad and Mac on August 8, 2025. You can now pre-register for the game from the App Store. However, there is no official information about an Android launch yet. You can start the game for free, while a one-time purchase unlocks the full game plus future updates.
