The demise of Clash Mini was one of the most talked-about topics back in 2024, and a lot of fans were disappointed at the decision. The ray of hope was when it was announced that Clash Royale would bring back Clash Mini, and now it looks like the Summer 2025 update will be the time.
Back in April 2024, Supercell officially confirmed that its strategy board game, Clash Mini, would have its development discontinued. Citing ‘quality concerns’, the makers put an end to the entire Clash Universe trilogy, which included Clash Quest and Clash Heroes.
The return of Clash Mini is expected to bring a much-needed boost to Clash Royale
However, the makers did announce bringing the Clash Mini experience back, which was further confirmed in November 2024. At Roviocon Google 2024, it was announced that Clash Mini will be released in June 2025 within Clash Royale, as part of a new strategy platform.
Now, at the recently held QLASH Dragon League Finals, day 2 of the event saw Marko, the Game Tester of Clash Royale, confirming the arrival of the experience. According to the team, it’s something new and possibly even revolutionary for the game.
To be honest, with this update, it is going to revive Clash Royale in a big way. If you have been keeping track of what’s going on with the game, Clash Royale players aren’t very happy with the developments in the game.
Ever since the release of the March 2025 update, which removed Chest Timers, Season Shop, and Banner Tokens, there have been a lot of discussions surrounding the state of the game, which even escalated following the announcement of the updates to Mastery Gem Rewards.
But with Clash Mini coming to the game, sure, we see a lot of changes. It will bring the former players of the game and will also feature Clash Royale as an interest once again, because of the gameplay opportunities it can bring.
When will the Clash Royale Summer 2025 update arrive
While Clash Mini is a big part of the Summer 2025 update, it won’t be the only highlight. Players can also expect new cards, fresh evolutions, and other major game changes.
A new TV Royale episode is on the way, where all these updates will be explained in more detail. One confirmed change is that Elixir Spectating will be removed in the upcoming update. Additionally, the team is also working on rebalancing spawner buildings and has promised changes for them in the near future.
While details on how exactly Clash Mini will be implemented remain under wraps, it could range from a seasonal event to a fully integrated subgame. Although the update was “supposed” to arrive in June, well, we can surely see this Summer lit up with the arrival of the favourite title.
