Cookie Run: Kingdom Version 6.5 mid update “Battlefield of Passion” brings new limited events

  • Secret Garden event is making a comeback this patch!
  • You can now play Beast Raid: Challenge Mode after clearing Master mode!

Cookie Run: Kingdom is set to release the new Version 6.5 mid update, “Battlefield of Passion”. The update will be available after maintenance, which will be held around 06:00 – 10:00 (GMT+9). The new update coming on June 18th, 2025 and will bring some new and old limited events!

Some portions of this update’s content may change before its release. The finalized changes will be available in the patch notes once the update is complete. As it is, the new update will be filled with new content such as new Cookies, New Episodes, Limited Events, Toppings, Treasures, QoL updates, and more!

Beast Raid: Challenge Difficulty

So if you’ve been playing Beast Raid in Master difficulty, brace yourself because now we’re getting a Challenge mode, and it sounds brutal. This mode is unlocked once you’ve cleared Master and if you have already beaten it during Season 2. You’ll be able to hop into Challenge mode as soon as Season 3 begins.

In Challenge difficulty, the boss gets an even bigger HP pool and becomes significantly stronger. As such, you can’t just brute force your way through it. You’ll need to be strategic, optimizing toppings, swapping treasures, timing skills properly, and maximizing damage over time. It’s a true endgame test of your squad’s power and synergy.

Roly-Poly Rumble

Next up is the return of Roly-Poly Rumble, and this time it’s even wilder. You’re going up against a Giant Roly-Poly and trying to deal as much damage as possible within a time limit. Although this isn’t your usual boss fight.

You’ll be using Random Buffs and Element Effects, which are modifiers that change how your Cookies perform. They’ve added 10 new Elemental Random Effects and removed the old ATK SPD ones, so expect some surprises. You can also buy Cookie Skills and Tactical Skills from the Effect Shop to power up during the run; the first purchase is free, which is awesome.

What’s unique is that Cookie Skills you buy will activate automatically at intervals and won’t scale off the original Cookie’s buffs, meaning you can build your team differently and focus more on synergy with the Rumble-specific effects.

There’s also a brand-new scoring system that calculates Lucky Points in a weirdly math-heavy (but fun) way. It looks at the sum of all digits in your score and multiplies it by the repeating digits and their counts. The better your score, the more Lucky Points you get, and those can be traded in the Event Shop. It’s chaotic fun, and it feels really rewarding if you build the right team.

Also worth noting: Butter Roll Cookie and Wedding Cake Cookie are getting new skills for this mode, while Black Lemonade Cookie’s skill has been removed, so if you were using her, time to adjust!

Secret Garden Mini-Game

I didn’t expect this one, but it’s probably my favorite part of the update. The new Secret Garden event is a relaxing, merge-style mini-game where you place and combine decorative blocks on a grid to create a garden styled after the Hollyberry Kingdom.

Here’s how it works:

  • You place a block on a random tile using the block button. You can always see the next block coming up, so you can plan your moves.
  • When you place two blocks of the same level next to each other, they merge into a higher-level block with a fancier design and give you more points.
  • You keep going until you can’t place or merge anymore, and then your final level and score determine your rewards.

You also get Seals of Approval as a currency, which you can use in the Secret Garden Shop to buy useful stuff like tools (Choco Rewindo, Slammin’ Hammer, Gnome Blueprint) or other prizes. And if you don’t use up all your Seals or tools before the event ends, they’ll be converted into Coins and sent to your in-game mailbox.
