Aiming Inc. has announced the shutdown of its 3D RPG, DanMachi BATTLE CHRONICLE, scheduled for September 29, 2025. Based on Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? Familia Myth Battle Chronicle series, the game was first announced in July 2023 and officially launched a month later.
Danmachi Battle Chronicle is ending service as the devs have failed to meet expectations
DanMachi BATTLE CHRONICLE is a 3D action RPG set in the world of Danmachi, featuring fully voiced dialogue and anime-style visuals. This title lets you relive the original story, team up with your favorite characters, perform signature attacks, and enjoy game-exclusive movies and scenes.
Unfortunately, the Danmachi Battle Chronicle team announced that the game would officially shutdown on September 29, 2025, globally, stating, “We have reached a point where we believe it is difficult to maintain the level of service that meets our players’ expectations.“
You can look forward to various in-game and out-of-game content, kicking off with the 2nd Anniversary Event starting July 30, which will also be the final event story. It will feature a new story written by Fujino Omori, along with other regular events arriving until EOS. For more details, check the official website.
The Japanese version will get a separate offline mode, and refunds can be issued for unused Paid Selas
Following the announcement, they will disable Paid Selas sales on July 30 after a maintenance, and the game’s distribution and customer support will be discontinued on the EoS date. That said, you can still play the game and use any remaining Paid Selas until the service officially ends.
The good news for Japanese players is that the devs have promised to launch an offline version for both Android and iOS, with a few features available. You can also carry over some of your data by linking your account before the game ends. Refund requests will be acceptable from September 29 to December 28.
While it’s sad the game’s ending so soon, some fans are showing frustration at the fact that the devs “killed a 7-year-old gacha game” for this one, only for it to last 2 years. Many are also requesting the return of the original, Memoria Freese, stating it was much better.
