  • The devs will offer refunds for any unused paid Everstone, with applications opening after the end of service.
  • Various in-game events are planned until shutdown, like a revival event, a 3x reward event, and more.

Kakao Games Corp has announced the shutdown of its collectible RPG, Eversoul, set for August 2025 in Japan. Originally planned for a global launch in 2021, the game faced two delays before its final release in 2023. The JP version followed in May 2024, but is now ending service after 1 year of launch.

Eversoul is bidding farewell after just a year of service in Japan

For those unfamiliar, Eversoul is a collectible RPG where you build a squad of Souls from six unique factions, each with unique skills and battle animations. With stunning anime-style artwork and visuals, the game also lets you design and explore your town and interact with your Souls.

Unfortunately, EverSoul Management Team announced that the game would officially shut down on August 20, 2025, in Japan, stating, “We have determined that it will be difficult to provide services that satisfy our customers in the future.

You can use any remaining paid items until EoS or apply for refunds

Following the announcement, they have disabled the purchase of Everstone (paid), along with premium items like Charin Pack and Manon Pack. The good news is, there’s still plenty of content planned till EOS, like a revival event, new spirits, featured summon reruns, raids, sub-events, and a 3x reward event.

Moreover, there’s more good news, as all your unclaimed rewards from Achievement Packs, Soul Passes, and Promotion Passes will be sent via in-game mail, even if you didn’t clear the requirements. For monthly packs, your existing perks continue, and any remaining rewards will also be sent the same way.

If you’ve unused paid Everstone, you’ll be able to ask for refunds from August 20 to October 22. The refund form will be available here after the game officially ends its service. While it’s sad that Eversoul Japan is set to shutdown so soon, you can continue your journey in the global version if you enjoy the game.
