- FIFA Rivals, the first game to have the official FIFA license after EA’s FIFA Mobile has finally started taking pre-registrations!
- The game is aiming to release globally this month during the FIFA Club World Cup 2025!
- Unlike popular soccer sims, FIFA Rivals brings a casual arcadey take on football, and incorporates NFT.
Mythical Games and Bacon Games‘ latest arcadey soccer title, FIFA Rivals, has finally opened for global pre-registrations on Android ahead of a global launch. The game, announced last November, has also started pre-release early access in select regions for Android, with a full release expected during the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 this month.
Already making its name in the Web3-based sports gaming industry, Mythical Games, the devs behind NFL Rivals, had partnered with FIFA, bringing the official FIFA license and branding to FIFA Rivals. This collab promises to bring back FIFA’s presence in the gaming industry post the company’s rift with EA.
Outstrike your opponent in fast and addictive soccer matches
Unlike FIFA’s previous endeavour with EA, FC Mobile, previously FIFA Mobile, FIFA Rivals offers a completely different take on the game, offering a fast-paced arcade-style experience. As a player, you will be creating your club and crest in your very own shape.
FIFA Rivals’ gameplay, as discussed above, isn’t simulation-based and offers gameplay similar to Score Hero! and Top Goal, where you take part in fast-paced, high-intensity matches, and your precise decision can change the outcome of a game. Use your skill to dribble, pass, and shoot, making your way to the top of the leaderboard.

Additionally, you can display your skill and turn on the Super mode, which supercharges your player and enhances their gameplay. As you play and win more matches, you can get better players by winning them. You will nurture talents and upgrade them to the modern tactics that suit your playstyle.
Take part in the official FIFA Club World Cup events happening this month
Boasting the official FIFA and FIFPRO licenses, you will be able to manage and play with authentic real-life footballers with their accurate likenesses and even celebrations as well. Additionally, there will be events on real-world soccer tournaments happening globally, starting with the FIFA Club World Cup this June.
Being an arcadey top-down title, FIFA Rivals has cartoonish yet vibrant graphics, different from EA’s realistic visuals. According to the game’s 3D artist at Bacon Games, Andrés Hernández, “The goal isn’t realism but rather a kind of abstraction of the characters.“
You can currently pre-register for FIFA Rivals on your respective Google Play Store if you are an Android user. For iOS, the pre-registrations are set to begin soon, as FIFA Rivals aims for a global launch this month. Interested players can sign up for the game’s official website as well for details.
