Fortnite’s new Blitz Royale mode offers fast-paced matches and mobile-friendly action, live now until July 15

  • Fortnite Blitz Royale is a 32-player mode with new gameplay each match, frequent updates, and quick five-minute battles.
  • You’ve to win 3 matches for Blitz ‘Brella Glider!, and reach Acc lv10 or top 10 in 20 games for Blitz Knight Outfit.
  • Weekly updates bring mythic weapons, Avatar crossover, Bad Bosses! and TMNT Melee Mayhem! events.

Fortnite, the popular battle royale title, has introduced Blitz Royale, a new 32-player BR mode, designed exclusively for mobile players. This fast-paced, action-packed mode is now live until July 15, offering a variety of rewards, weekly loot pool updates, and new weapons rotating every week.

Jump into short, fast-paced matches with fair gameplay in Fortnite Blitz Royale

If you didn’t know already, Fortnite is officially back in the mobile space, returning to the App Store in the US and the EU via the Epic Games Store. And to make it better, Epic Games has launched Fortnite Blitz Royale, a new mode designed for mobile gaming, mainly, with each match lasting around five minutes.

I like the idea that everyone begins with a random Medallion and unique weapons, on a small map, making it a fair start for everyone. Your goal here is to survive while eliminating enemies to level up your Blitz level. By doing so, you unlock better weapons and power-ups called Boons.

You can either opt to play solo, with your partner in duos, or squad, and loot Golden Chests and Golden Supply Drops for more Medallions and power-ups. By winning three Blitz matches, you earn Blitz Brella Glider, and reach Acc lv10 or place in the top 10 in 20 matches for Blitz Knight Outfit, available until July 15.

Blitz Royale brings Weekly Events, IP Crossovers, and a new Training Mode

That said, this mode runs until July 15 and will bring four weekly updates packed with gameplay events:

  • Week 1 has added the Mythic version of weapons like the Rocket Ram, in the rare Golden Llama.
  • Week 2 (June 24) will introduce Avatar: The Last Airbender crossover, bringing Bending Scrolls and Avatar-themed map changes.
  • Week 3 (July 1) will add boss weapons like Thorne’s Vampiric Blade and the new Blitz Chain of Hades, replacing Bending Scrolls.
  • Lastly, Week 4 (July 8) ends with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Melee Mayhem, adding TMNT weapons, Megalo Don’s Nitro Fists, the Mythic Typhoon Blade, Blitz Kneecapper, and more.

I’m excited to try out this new game mode. Additionally, Epic Games has also introduced Training Grounds, a new mode replacing Team Rumble. This mode offers unlimited respawns, and you can enjoy your battles at a single location, without the need to build, similar to Blitz mode.
