Garena and KADOKAWA tease high-octane action and visuals in Free Fire anime first look


  • The Garena Free Fire anime is directed by Ken Takahashi, with animation by CANDY BOX and music by Sus4 Inc.
  • Kelly leads as the protagonist, uncovering a hidden conspiracy with her allies in the trailer’s prologue.
  • The trailer’s theme song reimagines a classic Free Fire tune, and the full anime will be broadcast and streamed globally.

Garena and KADOKAWA CORPORATION have unveiled the first look of the upcoming anime adaptation of its popular battle royale game Free Fire. The anime was initially announced back in May 2024, with KADOKAWA QINGYU leading the project’s management.

In case you missed this news, Garena and KADOKAWA teamed up last year to bring an anime adaptation of Free Fire. The good part is that they’ve now released a new teaser visual and trailer, providing you with a closer look at what’s coming.

Kelly takes the spotlight in the trailer as the central protagonist of the anime, who is one of Free Fire’s most iconic characters. Here, alongside her allies, she uncovers a hidden conspiracy behind a world that appears very peaceful.

As someone who loves anime, I’m really looking forward to this, especially with the thrilling prologue teasing stunning visuals and a deeper look at the Free Fire universe. Plus, it is also being directed by Ken Takahashi, known for his work on Ragna Crimson and Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya.

CANDY BOX and Sus4 Inc power up the anime with stunning visuals and sound

What’s better, the animation is being handled by CANDY BOX, the studio behind the popular Blue Archive The Animation and Azur Lane Bisoku: Zenshin!, and Sus4 Inc, is leading the music production, praised for past works in Ragna Crimson and Jackie Chan & Clair’s Peace of the World.

This trailer’s theme song reimagines a familiar Garena Free Fire melody, giving a nostalgic touch while also amplifying the high-octane action sequences. That said, the full anime will be broadcast and streamed worldwide, so wait for that.
