Athenian Rhapsody LLC has announced to launch of their creature collector title, Goobie Garden, in Q4 2025 on both Android and iOS. Originally a goofy livestream project from Athenian Rhapsody creator Nico Papalia, the game is now getting a public beta in August, with pre-registration available.
Get ready to raise, evolve, and battle with the most lovable creatures
Goobie Garden is a free creature-collecting title that blends Tamagotchi-style pet care with the auto-battling mechanics of Super Auto Pets and the collection vibe of Pokémon GO. You’ll hatch quirky little creatures called Goobies, help them grow by lovingly punching them and by feeding them EXP food.
Each Goobie has its name, elemental types, jobs, and even personalities. As you raise them, you’ll also answer odd questions that influence how they evolve. I’m looking forward to meeting Thunder Goober, the mascot of Athenian Rhapsody.
After Athenian Rhapsody’s success, the creator saw the right moment to expand it to this live-service. An upcoming update on this will let you send Rhapsodies, the popular collectible postcards from the original and Tales of Tuscany, to unlock exclusive Goobies, decorations, and more.
Complete your Goobiedex, climb the PvP ladder, and more
That said, the core gameplay is all about collecting as many Goobies as you can to fill your Goobiedex, while also building strong friendships to unlock their final forms. I’m especially excited to climb the PvP ladder each month for various rewards. Do note that it is an autobattling system.
This live service title surely looks promising, offering an in-game world that shifts with the seasons in real life, introducing new Goobies, decorations, customization options like hats and effects, and more. What’s better is that even Legendary Goobies appear on a rotating basis.
Goobie Garden is scheduled to launch exclusively on both Android and iOS in Q4 2025. The game is hosting its first public beta in August, and you can pre-register for it via their official website and also earn exclusive rewards at launch.
