Step into the in-between and master timeline battles
LHEA and the Word Spirit is a charming turn-based roguelite adventure set in the In-Between, a dreamy realm that exists between life and death. Guided by an ancient Word Spirit, you’ll help her master a unique timeline-based battle system and guide lost souls to their next lives.

What makes the game stand out is its blend of elements from beloved titles like Slay the Spire, Monument Valley, and Child of Light, while adding its original twist. I’m excited to manipulate and strategize in the timeline battle system, a fairly rare genre. Some of the most popular titles where you’ll find this style are Grandia, Final Fantasy X, and Radiant Historia.
Unlock powerful spells and explore various realms
You can even equip and upgrade up to nine enchanted rings across three customizable presets, each granting access to strong spells. As you explore the various realms, you’ll also get the chance to uncover hidden secrets, gain new abilities, and unlock special features.
This cozy single-player title looks promising, packed with timeline battles, enchanted rings, powerful spells, procedurally generated realms, and more. You can look forward to facing mysterious entities to seal the realms and restore balance in the In-Between.
LHEA and the Word Spirit are scheduled to launch on Android, iOS, and PC this August. You can gain access to the game one week before launch by pre-registering via their official website. That said, an official launch date is yet to be announced. Stay tuned for more updates.
