This new season or chapter has been named as Portal Problems by the mo.co team.
What’s new in mo.co Chapter 2 update
In a developer-led breakdown, Community Manager João and Marketing Lead Erol gave fans a first look into the new chapter, joined by Ne.co, their plushy cat mascot. From enhanced combat mechanics to PvP reworks and a full XP system overhaul, the update promises more depth and silliness than ever.
New Monsters

A new world is opening up, and it’s overrun by adorable yet dangerous feline creatures. From the video, we get to see names of the new monsters such as Arrow Cat, Whisker, Slicer, Scratcher, and Skitter.
New Maps
To make the experience fresh, Supercell is adding multiple new maps in moco with this new update, and this time with urban themes. Unlike you save Spirits in the other maps, here you’ll be saving civilians and gardeners.
New Weapons
To match the upgraded monsters, you will get three new weapons:
- Shotbow: Returning permanently with a fresh coat of paint and updated design.
- Time Claw: A standout with a sixth-hit area attack and cooldown reduction for gadgets.
- Poison Bow: Delivers damage over time via poison effects.
New Gadgets
The gadget system is also expanding with powerful new tools:
- P.E.W 3000: A long-range auto-firing turret.
- Healing Totem: Stationary healing support.
- Life Drain: A hybrid gadget that deals and heals.
New Passives
Three new passives are also arriving with the mo.co Chapter 2 update.
- Pocket Airbag: emergency survivability
- Cactus Charm: revenge damage
- Gadget Battery: shock enemies when gadgets are used
XP system overhaul
mo.co Chapter 2 update introduces a revamped weekly XP system. You can now earn up to 20,000 boosted XP per day under a new progression bar. Once depleted, a second, larger XP bar continues to track your grind, ensuring flexibility without pressure.

However, unlike the previous time, now mo.co will offer a weekly XP cap rather than the daily cap.
New Rift Challenges and Boss Fights
Chapter 2 deepens Rift gameplay with more elaborate challenges, new enemies, and boss encounters with distinct mechanics.
New faces and changes in the Social System
Character customization is getting more inclusive, with 12 new facial options for both male and female avatars. Social tools now allow for easier team-building via a new teaming system that replaces traditional lobbies. Now you can add friends directly in Rifts and Events, encouraging more spontaneous co-op play.
PvP gets an upgrade
The PvP system is also undergoing significant changes. You can now fight across four game modes with rotating maps, competing for Stars to climb through five Belts. Those who reach the prestigious Black Belt will unlock exclusive Titles, adding a layer of recognition to their skills.
Changes in Leaderboards
Global and Local leaderboards are being replaced by friend and group-based leaderboards, shifting the focus to personal circles and tighter community competition.
mo.co Chapter 2 ‘Portal Problems’ Update release date
The update will arrive one week before the Chapter 2 launch date. Supercell has not mentioned any launch date yet, but we expect it to release very soon.
With a strong blend of chaos, cats, and creativity, mo.co Chapter 2 update looks like a must-play for fans craving a fresh twist in their multiplayer RPG experience.
