I think regular MONOPOLY GO might have noticed this, the Community Chest feature has been completely reworked. It is no longer a lucky draw where you get random rewards, this is more fun to play with now. Here’s everything you need to know about how this updated feature works and how to make the most of it.
The new Community Chest is designed in such a way that it isn’t luck or random draws anymore. Instead of hoping for random gifts every time you land on the tile, you now get to build a small team, complete weekly challenges, and earn better rewards together.
You now work together with three chosen friends, your Community Chest Partners, to complete Weekly Tasks and open chests with rewards. Everything you unlock depends on how much progress you and your partners make. You will still collect Keys to unlock those chests.
If you’re new to the game, you must reach Board 5 and land on a Community Chest tile to get access. Then, just add five friends and you’re good to go. This is for the eligibility, though.
For the chests and participating in the feature, you need three active friends to make it work. You’ll be teaming up for the week, so make sure to add as my friends as possible. You can even search for friends and team up with them if you have particular names in mind.
How the system works
Once you set up your team, you’ll get a total of 9 Weekly Tasks, which is 3 per friend. Completing these tasks earns you Keys, which you’ll use to open the chests. Each chest is tied to one friend, and each has three padlocked levels. The more you unlock, the better the rewards.
Landing on Community Chest tiles on the board also helps; they’re marked with colours linked to your friends. Land on one and you’ll upgrade that friend’s chest, giving you a shot at even better prizes. Every week, your progress resets, and you get new chests and tasks.
What rewards can one earn
The better your teamwork, the better your rewards. You’ll earn Rolls, Money, Flash Events, Surprise Bonuses and now the brand-new 6-Star Stickers. These are part of the upcoming Albums and come in both regular and gold versions.
To get the 6-Star Stickers, you’ll need to reach the higher chest tiers. So if you’re aiming to complete sets or just want rare goodies, this feature is your best shot.
