Thomas Waterzooi has announced his new art-inspired, casual yet suspenseful title, Please, Watch The Artwork, set to launch on Android, iOS, PC, and Nintendo Switch. This spin-off from his award-winning cozy series, Please, Touch The Artwork, was showcased at the 2025 Summer Game Fest.
Get ready to experience quiet suspense while spotting changes in living paintings in Please Watch The Artwork
Please, Watch The Artwork is an art-inspired, psychological spot-the-difference title built around the iconic paintings of Edward Hopper. Set in The Museum of animated Modern Art (MaMA), you play as a nightwatch, tasked with observing paintings that are very much alive, and reporting any changes.

While there are no jump scares or monsters, that doesn’t mean you won’t feel uneasy while playing. It leans toward a quiet kind of suspense that can make you feel paranoid, melancholic, and isolated. And yes, if you’re scared of clowns, I’ve got news for you, as there’s one here, a sad, wandering clown.
Monitor, zoom, and spot changes in over 40 paintings across six levels
Gameplay-wise, it’s simple, as you’ve to monitor through surveillance cameras, zoom in to spot any changes, and report any changes you find. That said, what really excites me are the six levels, that includes over 40 iconic Hopper paintings, grouped by theme, along with three difficulty settings.
Inspired by games like Five Nights at Freddy’s, this title is a fun yet suspenseful experience, with hand-painted animations, over 400 visual anomalies, themed galleries, a cozy mode with no time pressure or game over, just ambient noise without music, and more.
Please, Watch The Artwork is set to launch on Android, iOS, PC, and Nintendo Switch. You can wishlist the title on Steam. The official launch date has not been announced yet. Stay tuned for more updates!
