PUBG Mobile Beta Version 3.9 Update brings brand-new features
Introducing the new Neon Town and futuristic cityscape
After a very long time, we are once again going to have a proper futuristic city as the main hot-drop. The name of this point of attraction is the Neon Town. As we can guess from the name, it will possess a futuristic dystopian vibe where advanced technology coexists with societal decay.
We will many robots, high-tech machinery, cybernetics and body modifications such as neural implants, special augmentations, and other features that will set a new benchmark for this 3.9 mode. In the current Steampunk Frontier mode, we have been seeing and experiencing an 19th century Victorian era influence, particularly the steam-powered industrial age.
This time, it is totally opposite. We will new weapons, healing items, and mechanized companions. Every city will have a special section where we will be able to purchase special futuristic technologies that will give us an upper hand in the battlegrounds.
Brand new Neon Cybertron mode
The version 3.9 update of PUBG Mobile will offer an exciting themed mode of gameplay to carry the overall essence of the update. The name of the new mode is the Neon Cybertron mode. However, you should take it with a pinch of salt as the name is not confirmed as of now.

This mode will have a distinct vibe of futuristic dystopian architecture. The main themed location, the Neon Town will also have the same aesthetics. The main event location will look like a shady night market of a futuristic city with very dark lighting and ambience. We will see many shops such as burger points and pizza parlours in this location.
In these stores, instead of human shopkeepers, we will see robots are operating. The Neon Town will have multiple similarities with the famous fictional Cybertron planet, the home of the Transformers. We will giant planets and satellites in the sky, shooting stars are going to one place from another. We will also have a special Nitro infused hoverboard in this town.
Collaboration with the Transformers franchise
At this point, it is some kind of tradition in PUBG Mobile that we will see a collaboration with a famous title in each version update. This time, it is one of the most popular animated and movie series, the Transformers.

It is none other than the Optimus Prime himself, who will lead the pack against the mighty Decepticons. As of now, it is confirmed that we will see the main two characters in the game, the Optimus Prime and the Megatron. Other Transformers related items will also come to the game.
Classic Gameplay Enhancements
The PUBG Mobile 3.9 beta also brings several enhancements to the classic gameplay:
- Motorbike Drifting: After the four-wheeler drifting, we will finally be able to perform drifting in motorcycles from this update.
- New Cheer Park updates: New emotes and engagement options will be added in the cheer park
Visual and Sound enhancements
The visual and sound effects in the 3.9 Beta have been upgraded to match the new features. The steam-powered machinery and equipment, detailed animations like gun reloading and driving, and character transformations contribute to a more immersive and intense gameplay experience.
However, as this is a beta release, some stages may still lack complete sound effects, which are expected to be refined in the final version. We will update this article once we get more information.
