NetEase Games has announced their latest oceanic adventure RPG, Sea of Remnants, scheduled to launch on Android, iOS, PC, and PlayStation 5 in 2026. Developed by Joker Studio, creators of Identity V, this game was showcased during the PlayStation State of Play event.

Sea of Remnants is a stunning ocean adventure RPG set in a captivating, richly detailed world. In this game, you’ll play as an amnesiac puppet sailor, voyaging with a mysterious girl. Together, you drift through strange islands, cities, and perilous sea routes to discover lost memories.

What really makes it special is the dynamic cast, over 300 quirky, eccentric characters to meet. Moreover, you can form bonds, provoke enemies, or even eliminate key figures from rival factions. Every choice you make has consequences, shaping the fate of Orbtopia in various ways.

I’m really excited to recruit unique puppetfolks allies and build my own crew with distinct skills. You can upgrade your ship and explore a vibrant, open world. And yes, combat is fun, letting you train, unlock powerful skills, and dive into fast-paced, tactical sea battles against enemy fleets or sea monsters.

Looking at the trailer, the world itself feels alive, teeming with hidden treasures, mystical creatures, and diverse biomes. I’m surprised by how much stuff you can do in this title, from exploring long-lost ruins, discovering drifting ships, and uncovering secrets scattered across the ocean.

But’s its not all danger, as you can unwind with fishing, cooking hotpot, or playing traditional mahjong back in Orbitopia. Built with real ocean physics and creature behaviors, the game looks so promising, offering dynamic NPCs, comic-style visuals, shifting weather, and a world shaped by your actions.
