May 2025 was another solid month for the mobile gaming industry, and the latest publishers’ rankings reflect the ongoing battle between download volume and monetization strength. With consistent performers and new faces edging closer to the top, here’s how things shaped up in terms of downloads and revenue for the month.
Top Mobile Game Publishers by Downloads for May 2025
Azur Games once again topped the downloads chart with a massive 116.2 million installs, continuing its long reign as the king of hyper-casual mobile content. BabyBus maintained its strong second-place position with 90.2 million downloads.

Miniclip followed closely with 87.4 million installs, further cementing its place in the top three. Voodoo came in fourth with 74.3 million downloads, and Supersonic Studios followed in fifth with 63.7 million, both continuing their streak in publishing quick-hit, easy-to-play games.
Other notable publishers rounding out the top 10 include SayGames, Outfit7 of the Talking Tom fame, Supercent, Bravestars Publishing, and ABI Games Studio. Tencent Games only ranked 14th in downloads this month, with 36.8 million installs.
Top Mobile Game Publishers by Revenue for May 2025
When it comes to revenue, Tencent Games remains untouchable, bringing in a colossal $539.6 million in May alone. Their long-term franchises and strategic live-service models keep players spending steadily every month.
In second place, Century Games pulled in $181.8 million, driven by solid performance across simulation and strategy games. Dream Games followed closely behind at $147.2 million, powered by the ongoing popularity of Royal Match.

FunPlus claimed fourth with $136 million, while King rounded out the top five with $133.6 million, thanks to the evergreen success of Candy Crush Saga. Just behind them were Playrix, Scopely, and NetEase Games, all of whom maintain highly engaging games with consistent monetization strategies.
Supercell returned to the top 10 this month with $110.3 million, continuing to ride the wave from Clash of Clans and Clash Royale. Meanwhile, The Pokémon Company ($82.6 million), Moon Active, Cognosphere Pte. Ltd, Playtika, and Microfun Limited closed out the top 15.
