Wuthering Waves Version 2.5 update, known as ‘Unfading Melody of Life’, will feature Resonators, main questlines, Echoes, weapons, location, and more. In this article, I’ll break down all the key highlights and everything you can look forward to when the WuWa Version 2.5 update goes live on July 24, 2025.
Before we dive in, take a moment to explore everything introduced in the version 2.4 update, including new powerful Resonators like Cartethyia and Lupa, along with a new main quest, a new echo aspect feature, and more.
Wuthering Waves Version 2.5 Update brings new Banners
As usual, the version 2.5 update will roll out in two banner phases, including both new and returning Resonators. You can pull some powerful Resonators that will improve your overall gameplay experience.
Phase I Banner – Requiem Without End
- 5-Star Resonator: Phrolova (new)
Phase I Banner – Stage in the Box
- 5-Star Resonator: Roccia (Rerun)
Phase II Banners – Neptune’s Lullaby
Phase II Banner – Blaze Across the Deep
Phrolova is the new 5-Star Resonator arriving in Wuthering Waves with the Version 2.5 update, with the Requiem Without End banner. She is a 5-Star Havoc DPS who fights using the Rectifier weapon and features a Forte Gauge system.
Wuthering Waves Version 2.5 Update brings new Main Quest and location
With the upcoming update, the game will also introduce two Main Quests in Chapter II Act VII, which are as follows:
- Chapter II Act VII – Dreamcatchers in the Secret Gardens.
- Overture – Rust, Sword and the Sun.
Moreover, this update is also set to introduce a new location, Fabricatorium of the Deep, which is a facility hidden in the unfathomable depths of the sea. Here, Common Echoes are manufactured, recycled, and studied. You can explore this area, discover the Lumen Tower at the center, and more.

- There will be two phases for weapons: Lethean Elegy and Tragicomedy in Phase II, and Whispers of Sirens and Unflickering Valor in Phase II.
2.5 New Echoes List
Echoes are needed to enhance your Resonators’ abilities, and here are the new ones:

- Nightmare: Hecate
- Nightmare: Tambourinist

New Phantom Echoes
Phantom Echoes are rare variations of Echoes in Wuthering Waves.
- Phantom: Nightmare Inferno Rider
New Sonata Effect
Sonata Effects are the set bonuses in Wuthering Waves and provide a variety of useful stat bonuses.
- Dream of the Lost (3pcs Set) – By holding 0 Resonance Energy, you increase Crit. Rate by 20% and it also grants a 35% Echo Skill DMG Bonus.
New Special Event arriving with WuWa Version 2.5 Update
Like every update, the game is also introducing a variety of special events in this upcoming update. Here’s a concise overview of each event:
- Phantasma Dreamland: Echo Dreamland Leisure Event.
- Gifts of Grand Symphony: 7-Day Login Event.
- Dreaming Deep: Solaris Film Festival.
- Overflowing Picture Book: Leisure Event.
- Deep Sea Survey: Photo Collection Event.
- Wuthering Exploration Featured Event: The Border Mountains.
Optimizations coming with the Wuthering Waves Version 2.5 update
Apart from the main content, WuWa’s version 2.5 update is also bringing several optimizations to improve your gameplay experience. Here’s a look at the key improvements:
- Echo Management: You’ll be able to Auto-Lock or Auto-Discard Echoes in the Data Bank using plans based on quality, Cost, Sonata Effects, and Mainstats. Moreover, new Echoes will automatically follow these settings.
- Sync Tuning: Echo Upgrade is receiving the Sync Tuning option, and when you enable this, Tuners are auto-applied during Echo upgrades, which allows Echo Tuning to synchronize with Echo Upgrade.
- More Preset Teams: After the upcoming update, you can have up to 10 preset teams.
- On / Off Option for Resonator Skill Music: The game is adding the Skill Music option for specific Resonators, allowing you to turn on or off the background music that accompanies the casting of their skills.
