Announced during the April 2025 Brawl Talk, Supercell has finally introduced the new MOBA game mode, Brawl Arena, in their popular strategy title, Brawl Stars. Along with this 3v3 mode, the Free Skin Challenge event and Crush The Kaiju Brawl Pass are also live in-game. In this Brawl Arena guide, I’ll provide you with tips and tricks to dominate this new Brawl Stars game mode!

Brawl Stars Brawl Arena Overview

Brawl Arena is the game’s own take on the MOBA genre, where your goal is simple: destroy the enemy base before they destroy yours. It’s a 3v3 game mode that feels similar if you’ve played games like MLBB or Pokémon Unite, with lanes and turrets to take down, but with the Brawl Stars flair.

Just like traditional MOBAs, you’ve friendly mini-robots, similar to minions, pushing lanes from your base. Brawl Arena features two lanes, similar to Pokémon Unite, with Jungle camps placed in the middle of the map. Plus, unlike MOBAs, the matches last only 5 minutes, which is a huge bonus.

What’s better, there are even jungle zones with neutral robots you can defeat, like the jungle monsters in MLBB. Moreover, by taking them down, you can summon the Kaiju for powerful buffs. As someone who’s a fan of MLBB, Pokémon Unite, and Brawl Stars, I’m really enjoying this new game mode.

Tips and Strategies for Brawl Arena game mode in Brawl Stars

You can follow the tips given below in this guide to dominate the Brawl Arena game mode and complete the Free Skin Challenge event with ease in Brawl Stars:

  • Arena XP is everything: By leveling up in Brawl Arena, you get both damage and health bonuses. So, you should farm Arena XP to get a lead over your enemies. Tanks and Assassins class Brawlers shine early, while Marksmen and damage dealers can create impact at the late game.
  • Use mini Robot to advantage: In this mode, the robots constantly spawn in both lanes, including the normal ones, boxer-like Robots, and even tanky ones. You can use them to push lanes, apply pressure, destory turrets, and even evade from enemies.
  • Jungle Zones are Arena XP mines: Each side has two Jungle camps with neutral Robots, and there’s a central jungle area that spawns four robots, followed by the Kaiju boss later in the match. You can clear these bots for huge XP boost, that helps you to stay ahead of others.a
  • Know your role: Since it’s a 3v3 mode, everyone should have clear roles, and shouldn’t just gather on one side. If you’re a Jungler, focus on farming jungle robots, slaying enemy brawlers, and taking down the Kaiju. If you’re playing a lane hero, focus more on turrets and enemy brawlers.
  • Target high-level Enemies: You should strategize and hunt enemy Brawlers with high Arena XP, or more than you, to level up quickly. So if you’re behind, just gank these Brawlers with your team.
  • Prioritize picking impactful Brawlers: You should understand that not every Brawler performs in an equal manner in this game. And that is why you should pick Brawlers that can create impactful plays, in early game or late game, like high-sustain ones, rapid attacks, and artillery class Brawlers.
  • Team up and slay the Kaiju: Like other MOBAs, slaying the Kaiju here is the best way to completely shift the momentum of your game. So, whenever the Kaiju spawns, team up and slay it to gain huge amount of Arena XP and buffs.

Best Brawlers to pick in Brawl Arena

Like I already mentioned earlier, not all Brawlers are equal in Brawl Arena, just like any other MOBA. Some are built to thrive, while others will struggle to keep up. So, choosing the right Brawler can give you a major advantage, and here are few that really stands out, in my opinion:

  • Clancy: Clancy performs like a classic marksman character from other MOBAs. While his early game is not solid, once you level up, you can easily snowball and dominate, if left untouched by enemies. He is performing really well in this mode.
  • Jacky: Jacky is also a great pick and is doing well in this mode thanks to her strong sustain and survivability, and solid area damage. You can also play her as a jungler, as she is great at clearing the jungle camps.
  • El Primo: Surprisingly, El Primo has been a menace in this new game mode. I have lost a few matches against well-played Primo, as Primo is great for 1v1s , and can dive into backlines.
  • Lumi: With her long-range primary attack and impactful Super, you can use her to control space and force enemies to relocate.
  • Kenji: Well, Kenji performs really well across almost all game modes, and that also includes Brawl Arena. You can gank, jungle, and clear the robots effectively.
  • Penny: While Penny lacks sustain and mobility, her turret and damage output make her a great pick. If you play smartly, you can easily control objectives and cover almost both lanes. I’ve won quite a few games with Penny.
  • Griff: You can also try Griff, as he is effective at dealing chip damage and poking enemies. I’ve seen plenty of players winning with Griff, so he’s definitely worth a try.

That said, you can also try Brawlers like Shade, Ash, Nita, Squeak, and experiment around to see what works best for you. Also, don’t just hit targets and neutral Robots, as you’ll gain Arena XP by dealing the final blow only. I also suggest you target Brawlers with Bounties on them , to level up faster.
