Clash Royale confirms Mastery Gem Rewards are changing in late June 2025 update

  • Card Mastery Gem rewards will be reduced in the late June 2025 update.
  • Regular and Champion cards will now offer 100 Gems each.
  • 2,525 Gems will be relocated to the Trophy Road to balance this change.

Clash Royale is adjusting its Gem rewards system in the upcoming June 2025 update, shifting the focus away from long-term Mastery grinds. These changes are mostly towards making progression-based rewards better.

The change encourages more progression-based Gem earning through gameplay

In the next update, arriving late June, Card Mastery Gem rewards will be reduced. Regular Cards will now reward 100 Gems instead of 150, and Champion Cards will also drop to 100 Gems from 300. To balance this, 2,525 Gems will be relocated to the Trophy Road.

This means that you can earn more Gems through regular gameplay progression rather than relying heavily on completing Mastery level grinds.

While this results in fewer total Gems available in the game, the shift aims to make rewards feel more accessible and tied to progression-based play. If you are among those who still want to claim Gems from current Mastery tasks, you still have a short window before the update goes live.

Once the changes roll out, the new Gem values will apply to all future progress, with no rewards for past Mastery or Trophy Road completions. The update is expected to arrive sometime in late June 2025, so you have time till then.
