Clash Royale League (CRL) 2025 is announced with new format and more events

Clash Royale Esports is coming back with the Clash Royale League (CRL) 2025. This event will be more community-focused, and dynamic, and feature a 12-player World Finals. Scheduled to kick off in June, the grand finals will take place in September. The competitive scene will witness a lot of events including four Golden Tickets, Last Chance Qualifier, Leaderboard, and so on. Thus, the action will be mind-blowing, running at the same height with its aura. So, let me help you break down the details of the mega Esports event including the schedule, format, prize pool, and more.

Schedule and Format

The event will directly connect the community to the competition and fight against the top players. As part of the seed system, four top-notch Community Organisations will host four Events. These events will award 4 Golden Tickets, 4 Silver Tickets, and points to the CRL Season Leaderboard.

Four Golden Ticket events will be held, organized by four top-tier organizations with deep roots in the competitive Clash Royale scene. Each event’s top teams will receive a slot in the World Finals.

Now, the Silver Tickets will lead to the Last Chance Qualifier. This final chance will be given to the runner-ups from the four events, who will join eight players from the Leaderboard to fight for the last Golden Ticket.

The breakdown of the event calendar is as follows:

EVENT NAME SCHEDULE
Golden Ticket Event #1 May 5th – June 15th
Golden Ticket Event #2 June 2nd – July 20th
Golden Ticket Event #3 July 7th – August 17th
Golden Ticket Event #4 August 4th – September 14th
Last Chance Qualifier September 20th – 21st

All the matches will take place in a BO3 format. The qualification can be in either of the four ways. The CRL leaderboard will feature the top 1000 in the Path of Legends during their seasons (May through August) and will be able to compete in the Event Qualifiers. Points will only be obtainable starting from Day 2 of the Event Qualifiers of each Golden Ticket Event.

Participant Teams

This edition will feature a total of 12 players in the Grand Finals, after hearing the demand from thousands of players. Though the 16-player finals were pretty much an established system, fans eagerly wanted a 12-player format so the finals became more interesting. Thus, this year’s CRL edition will embrace a 12-player final.

As there’s a long time to select the top 12 for the finals, we will know the names before the finals begin. The slots are as follows:

  • 4 from Golden Ticket Events
  • 6 from the CRL Leaderboard
  • 1 from the Last Chance Qualifier
  • 1 from the China Tie-in Event

Prize Pool

We do not know how much money will be awarded to the World Finals participants. However, each Golden Ticket event will come with a $50,000 prize pool.

The breakdown is as follows:

RANKING PRIZE POOL
The Champion $15,000 + Golden Ticket
