From the leaks shared on X, while Zidane’s card is not in the database yet, there seems to be new commentary lines that mention his name. These include goal calls and play-by-play lines from eFootball series’ official commentator, Peter Drury, as well as Spanish lines calling out Zidane’s moments on the pitch.
This is a big hint that Zidane could be added to the game soon. In the past, commentary leaks like these have led to real in-game releases. For example, Pele was found through commentary and audio files weeks before he officially arrived in the game last week.
Similar leaks have also happened with Puskás, who also arrived with the same 30th Anniversary Campaign as Pele. Even though Zidane doesn’t have a player card yet, the addition of these voice lines suggests that KONAMI may be preparing for his future release.
The loss of the Bayern Munich license might have hampered the game a bit, but surely, with big-name signings, KONAMI is looking to add a lot of new faces to the game.
