The Meteoric mutation can be obtained only through an admin command, which is activated by the developers at any time. Usually, this happens right before an update, so make sure you are online and in-game at least an hour before it. The update time is shared on the game’s store page, so hit ‘Notify’ to know when it will be live.

During the time before an update, developers send various messages to players and activate admin weather types that are not normally available. When a Meteor Strike weather is triggered, plants have a chance of getting the Meteoric mutation that not only gives your crops a yellow VFX around them, but also grants x125 value multiplier.

This significantly boosts the selling price of your crops and if you’re lucky enough to get it on higher-tier plants like Sugar Apple, Cacao, Mushroom, Ember Lily or more, you will be able to get rich fast. Make sure to avoid harvesting it right away because it has a chance of getting up to 5 stacked mutations, and if it gets those that have high multipliers, the crop’s value will be through the roof.

There are many more admin-based weather types and mutations such as Beenaded, Twisted and Disco used to be one as well before it became obtainable via the Disco Bee.
