NetEase Games has announced the launch of Custom Servers for their supernatural survival title, Once Human. Alongside this major update, they’ve also revealed the upcoming Global Annual Version 2.0 showcase, set to take place on July 2, 2025, promising a look into the game’s future.
Create your worlds with the new Custom Servers in Once Human
Once Human has finally launched its Custom Servers, which are an independent, officially supported game space that lets you personalize your version of the game, similar to GTA RP servers. From cozy creative sessions to hardcore survival scenarios, these servers offer a variety of gameplay possibilities.
Here are the possible changes you can make to your custom servers:
- Comprehensive Parameter Customization: You can change weather, day-night cycles, XP rates, building speed, and more fundamental aspects to fit your playstyle.
- Flexible Scenario Selection: The game also allows you to toggle official scenarios, including the PvE and PvP content. You can also look forward to Mod support and exclusive custom scenarios, coming in the future.
- Friend Collaboration System: You can use unique invitation codes to invite your friends or even open up your servers to everyone.
- Dedicated Server Management Panel: If you create a server, you’ll get GM privileges and administrative tools to manage players and settings.
- Secure Infrastructure: Moreover, the Custom Server Data is stored separately from official servers for long-term security and reliability.
How to access the new Custom Servers in Once Human
You can set up your own Custom Server via the dedicated in-game purchase page. Here, you can purchase Custom Server subscriptions, with prices varying based on the number of players and server duration.
To join one of these Custom Servers, you can either use an invitation code from your friends or dive into an unlocked server, which allows everyone to join.

Apart from the Custom Servers, the Once Human Global Annual Version 2.0 showcase will be live-streamed online on July 2. Signing up for the Annual Version 2.0 rewards you with a Graffiti T-Shirt cosmetic, an Annual Version 2.0 Avatar, 2 Butterfly’s Emissary Crates, and 1,500 Starchrom.
